Modules 1+ 2 Reflection NSG 351

The modules through ATI thus far have taught me scientific nursing concepts, general test taking strategies and general concepts surrounding patient safety and patient’s autonomy.  More specifically, for the testing and remediation module I learned test taking strategies and the importance of remediating previous incorrect answers.  Regarding the nursing concepts module I learned a lot more about general patient safety and independence. This relates to what I will be learning this semester in my other classes. Some of the more scientific concepts including contraindications for various medications relates to my pharmacology class. Additionally there were a couple questions that had to do with the nursing concepts around vitas including blood pressure. This relates to my adult health class as well. The modules encompass my overall learning across multiple courses over the past month.

This influences my integration into the nursing culture in many ways. Regarding testing and remediation, the best way to connect it is that nursing is a career of lifelong learning. Sure, you could get the answer wrong the first time. It’s more important to know strategies of self confidence and not doubting yourself taking the exam. Then, learn from your mistakes. This shows integration of the nursing culture. It’s important to reflect on previous learning and become not only more efficient in the learning process but also so that you can apply what you learned in other situations. The modules have aided in my integration to nursing culture through emphasis of lifelong learning.
