Through the evidence appraisal and synthesis process, I’ve discovered a significant amount about children’s vaccinations rates. For starters, it takes years, even decades to really grasp the efficiency of vaccine regimes. For some reason over the years I’ve convinced myself that children’s vaccinations were significantly shorter processes getting approved within a few years. Similarly, the ethics involved is far more involved than I ever anticipated between parental consent. Looking into all of the different criteria for clinical trials. This is significantly changing my assumptions on the topic. My findings will impact future nursing practice in a multitude of ways. For example, I will be able to use this information to understand the importance of child vaccinations statuses through a scope of public health particularly in public school systems. My team members and I have come to similar conclusions about the process being far longer than we anticipated.

Throughout the process of this critical appraisal portion of our project, my group members and I have experienced differences of opinions. It has been challenging at times to divide the work around each of our schedules in addition to compromising across a variety of perspectives and ideas. This being said, we work well together overall and face challenges with positivity to move forward as a collective group.
